Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is the best anime I've ever seen. It puts a great deal of detail into characters and things that are rather...inconsequential. While that may sound bad it's not. It makes the world feel real and living. For example one character gets development in that he's estranged from his family and all that and that little story plays out. Even though the guy is a minor MINOR character. The story still takes time to give him his own problems even if those problems are completely meaningless in the grand scheme of things. It makes side characters more than just things to move the plot along and instead makes them feel like actual people with their own problems and lives.

Anime also only has two filler episodes in it. It's 64 episodes long I believe. So you don't have to deal with any DBZ bullshit of fucking 800 episodes. The first episode is filler. Just something they threw together to show people they were making a new series. Can skip it if you want. You won't miss anything important. But it's not a bad episode.

I just found it to be a good story over all with good characters and the like. But don't watch FMA. That show was a piece of shit.

I haven't seen a shit ton of anime. But with out knowing what you're into I can only suggest the best anime -I've- seen. Which is FMAB.

Uhhh...the first few episodes of FMAB have the typical anime shit of turning into like..cartoon drawings but that quickly stops almost entirely. Like in 64 episodes it only pops up for a few moments in like...6 episodes. There are no 12 year old girls in FMAB. at all. And no Mary-Sues that I can think of. I mean yeah Edward is refereed to as a prodigy and a great alchemist. But he also gets his ass beat several times by other characters. As for whining emo characters. The closest to that might be Scar. But he's more "pyschotic serial killer hellbent on revenge" than he is whiny or emo. He's not fucking Sasuke or anything. I mean there are moments of characters breaking down and crying but that's less "this man took my sandwich" and more "this man murdered my parents in cold blood" So.

Oh. If you do watch it I'd suggest the sub. The dub isn't bad but it does a lot of things rather..lazily. I just find the sub to be better over all.

Gundam and all it's spin-offs. Big O. That one fucking show with the giant robot wolf thing. All bore the shit out of me. The writing and style and tone are irrelevant. I am not in anyway saying that Gundam is poorly written or a bad show. Nor am I saying that for the Big O. Infact from what I've heard the Big O is a fantastic anime. Still bores the ever loving shit out of me.
